A family run firm for
30 years with local knowledge in agriculture and construction.
The agricultural contracting
business started operating from south Stainmore in 1970 with a
Massey Ferguson 65 tractor and bailer, working for local farmers
in the upper eden valley.
Silage making equipment
was acquired to keep up with the changes in farming and in 1985
our first self propelled forager was added to the growing fleet.
By 1990 we had 3 self
propelled foragers complete with full silage making services which
are all available to the present day.
Due to demand in 1975
our first wheeled digger was purchased and the plant hire business
has steadily expanded. In 1986 the business relocated to Church
Brough where it presently operates from.
To keep up with the
growing demand the first tracked digger was acquired in 1988 which
was followed by a range of mini diggers.
After the effects of
the foot and mouth outbreak in 2001, it was time for diversification
with a mobile tracked crusher.
We hope to keep in
touch with new trends and the needs of our customers and are open
to new ventures.
